Lyle K. Kroenlein, 72, of Nokomis, IL, passed away on September 7, 2013 at 4:30 a.m. at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. He was born October 21, 1940 in Nokomis, IL; the son of Ambrose and Leona (Howell) Kroenlein. He married Janis Hadley on June 23, 1962 in Witt, IL. He was a retired machine operator at Bridgestone Firestone in Decatur, IL. He was a U. S. Army veteran, a member Nokomis Masonic Lodge #456 A.F. & A.M. and the Nokomis United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife, Janice of Nokomis; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi (Steve Sherer) Kroenlein of Peoria, IL; mother, Leona of Nokomis. He was preceded in death by his father, Ambrose; son, Mark in infancy; brother, Neil Kroenlein.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Sutton Funeral Home, Nokomis, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Sutton Funeral Home, Nokomis with Pastor Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery, Nokomis, IL.
