Evelyn L. Stephens, 86, of Taylorville, passed away March 29, 2012 at 7:55am in Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Pana.  She was born April 7, 1924 in Camp Point, IL., the daughter of Glenn and Gladys (Pierce) Renaker.  She married Glenn Stephens in September, 1946 in Kansas City.  She was a retired homemaker.  She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Taylorville. 

She is survived by son-in-law Everett Johnson of Taylorville; brother Don (Helen) Renaker of Fillmore; 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Janet Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00am in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Allen A. Johnson officiating.  Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial gardens in Taylorville.  Visitation will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 from 10-11am at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Taylorville.
