Odra Eugene Kirby 77, of Taylorville passed away July 14, 2011 at 9:35 p.m. in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was born on July 18, 1933 in Taylorville the son of Theodore and Clara (Peters) Kirby. He married Deanne Hunt in Taylorville on January 27, 1962. He was retired from Georgia Pacific Paper Plant after 45 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and he served during the Korean Conflict. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He loved playing golf and was a former member of the Monday Morning Retired Golf League. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Taylorville.

He is survived by his Wife Deanne, Daughters Michelle (Gerry) Goebel and Debra (R.G.) Yattoni both of Morrisonville, Grandchildren Anthony Yattoni, Hannah Yattoni and Carly Goebel, Sister Harriet Clark of Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his Parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in the Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Pastor Dayle Badman will be Officiating.
