Waneta Madge (Richart) Sparks, 87, of Nokomis, IL died January 19, 2012 @ 8:20 pm at the Nokomis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nokomis, IL.  She was born March 11, 1924 in Shelby County, IL to James Arthur and Lesta A. (Sands) Reichart.  She married James Michael Wood on May 15, 1940.  He preceded her on January 28, 1958.  She then married Charles M. Sparks on July 13, 1962 in Hillsboro, IL.  He preceded her in death in May of 2007.  She is a retired homemaker.  She graduated High School and was a member of Westervelt Christian Church.

She is survived by Sons; Thurman "Jake" (Loretta) Wood of Benton, IL, James Michael (Shirley) Wood of Benld, IL, Keith (Judy) Wood of Irving, IL. Daughters; Mrs Faye (Arthur) Conrad of Fillmore, IL and Maurica Ann Manley of Ramsey, IL; Step-Son Charles Sparks of El Paso, TX; Step-Daughter; Cheryl Britton of Bonners Ferry, ID; Sister, Audrey West of Shelbyville, IL; Several Grandchildren, several Step-Grandchildren; several Great-Grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: Parents, first husband: James Michael Wood and second Husband Charles M. Sparks, infant son: Arthur Wood, son: George Wood; two daughters: Nancy and Brenda, Grandchildren: Vickie and Steve Wood.

Visistation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00pm Sunday January 22, 2012 at the Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis, IL.  Graveside rites will be held 3:00pm Sunday January 22, 2012 at Nokomis Cemetery, Nokomis, IL with Pastor Bert Eickoff officiating.
