Randy L. Toon, 54, of Taylorville, passed away March 5, 2012 at 12:54pm at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville.  He was born June 22, 1957 in Carthage, MO the son of Gary Toon and Helen Machnicki.  He married Rebecca A. Melvin in July, 1984 in Litchfield.  He was a truck driver, previously worked as coal miner at Peabody Mine #10.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca; son, Derrick Toon of Taylorville; daughter, Jennifer Toon of Springfield; step-mother, Erika Toon of NC; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kenneth & Wanda Melvin in Taylorville; brothers, Dan Machnicki, Russell Machnicki and Mike Machnicki all of MO and Harry Machnicki of NE; sisters, Rhonda (Dave) Sperry of MO, Bianca Carter and Tina of NC.; sisters-in-law, Marsha Oliver of AR and Mary Kay Allen of MD; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by father Gary Toon and mother Helen Machnicki.

Private family services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville with Pastor Rodney Blomquist officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
