Arthur Eugene Beaty, 91, of Stonington, IL died at 10:25 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville.

He was born May 3, 1920 in Benton, IL the son of Charles Clark and Bessie Elizabeth Burgess Beaty. On May 8, 1943 he married Geraldine V. Coady in Taylorville. Mr. Beaty was employed and retired from Peabody Mine #10. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Stonington; a Veteran of World War 2 servin in the Army Air Force; Life member of American Legion, Stonington and Life member of V.F.W. Post 4495, Taylorville. He was a member of U.M.W.A. Local 9819.

Survivng are his wife Geraldine of Stonington; Son: Patrick E. Beaty and wife Helen of Leroy, IL; Daughters: Martha Nabor and husband Ron of Sunrise Beach, MO, Karen Flynn and husband Russ of Mesa, AZ, and Anita Mayers and husband John of Stonington. There are 9 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildern. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandson Ricky, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 17 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Stonington. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time in the church on Saturday.
