Irene Norris, 89, of Palmer, IL died at 11:43 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 23, 1923 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of Louis Abraham and Mary Ann Alvey Brown. On May 18, 1943 she married Rodell Vincent Norris at St. Mary's Catholic Church, member of Progressive Homes, and was a 4-H leader for the Owaneco Indian Maidens.

Survivng are her 3 sons: Rober Norris and wife Mary Tena of Plamer, Larry Norris and wife Barbara Scharmer of Taylorville, and Mike Norris and fiancee Lori Strayer of Palmer; 3 Brothers: Robert Brown, and Herman Brown both of Taylorville, and LeDon Brown and wife Delores of Shelbyville. There are 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, 2 Brothers, Alvah Brown and Paul Brown and one sister, Beulah Hunt.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Alan Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held form 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at McClure Funeral Home.
