Ophelia Bramel, 92, of Mt. Auburn, passed away March 19, 2012 at 4:10 am at Meadow Manor Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Taylorville.  She was born October 3, 1919 in Nokomis, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Leroux) Pallai.  She married Rober E. Bramel in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1976.  She was a retired tavern owner and operator..  She was a former member of Illini Doll and Toy Club and the United Federation of Doll Clubs.

She is survived by sons;  Frank (Maxine) Bramel of Mt. Auburn and Larry Bramel of Taylorville; 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers;  Marcel Pallai and Frank Pallai and sister Irene Magos.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 10:00 am with Cheryl Croft officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Mt. Auburn.

Memorials may be made to the Christian County Senior Center.
