George L Crow,81, of Edinburg, passed away Thursday March 22, 2012 at 1:05pm at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born February 5, 1931 in Oraville, IL, the son of George and Orpha (Johnson) Crow.  He married Dorothy Marie Lear in April 1967 in Lincoln, IL.  She preceded him in death on September 2, 2002.  He was a retired Truck Driver and Bus Driver for SMTD.  He was a 50 year member of American Legion Post #127 in Murphysboro, IL.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force during the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughter: Georgette M (Michael)Patterson of Edinburg, step son: Francis(Linda) Livingston of Auburn, grandchildren: Michael and Rachel Patterson of Edinburg, sister: Betty Johnson of Chatham, nieces: Mary Jane(Glen)Chapman of Chatham and Kaye Johnson of Springfield, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and infant sister.

Visitation will be held on Monday March 26, 2012 from 10am until 11am at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.  Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11am at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Dennis Hamilton officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.
