Robert Lee Toliver, 88, of Taylorville, passed away March 27, 2012 at 10:04am at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.  He was born May 27, 1923, the son of Joseph H. and Dorothy E. (Vinyard) Toliver.  He married Lura J. Mills in January, 1948 in Shelbyville.  She preceded him in death in February, 2009.  He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and delivered the Taylorville Breeze-Courier for 20 years in rural Taylorville.  He was a member of Mound Lodge #122 A.F. & A.M. in Taylorville, Ansar Shrine of Springfield, Scottish Rite Valley of Springfield, American Legion Post #73, AMVETS Post #29, VFW Post #4495, Eagles Club #1425 and Moose Lodge #1516 all of Taylorville.

He is survived by daughters; Ginger Lynn (Danny) Roney of Urbana and Janie Lee (James) Rappe of Indianapolis, IN; one grandchild, four great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Lura.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 10:00am at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Terry Strom officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 30, 2012 from 5-8pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
