Edward Lee “King Ed” Johnson, 80, of Taylorville, IL died at 6:30 pm, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Taylorville Care Center.

He was born September 25, 1932 in Taylorville the son of William Lee and Edith Clarice Corn Johnson.  On October 31, 1956 he married Eloise McKinney in Taylorville, IL and they later divorced. Ed was an Air Force veteran.  Mr. Johnson had been employed at Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company for many years.  He was a former member of the Taylorville Moose Lodge and the Eagles Aerie.

Surviving are his children: Mike Johnson of Taylorville, IL, Daughter Tammy Johnson of Chandler, AZ, Brother, Mo Johnson and wife Judy of Taylorville, a granddaughter Misty Berry of Colorado Springs, CO, and his former wife Eloise Johnson Kendrick.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Everett Johnson  and sisters, Vivian Pasqueno and Darlene Biehl.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton.
