Beatrice Watson, 93, of Taylorville passed away August 3, 2011 at 10:15 p.m. in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. She was born August 27, 1917 in Palmer, TN the daughter of Thomas and Lula (Green) Lewis. She married Joseph Howard Watson on February 15, 1938 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1994. She was a retired homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stonington.

She is survived by son, Tom (Barbara) Watson of Wheaton, IL., daughters Pat (Floyd) Beard of Farmville, VA, Mary Lou (Bill) McChristy of Stonington, IL, Janet Bell of Stonington, IL, Brenda (Gary) Mills of Taylorville, IL, Sharon Lyonds of Decatur, IL, 15 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren, Brothers Thomas (Louise) Lewis of Goreville, IL, Gene Lewis of CA, Bruce Lewis of St. Louis, MO, Sister Carol Lewis of St. Louis, MO. Several Nieces and Nephews. She was precede in death by her Parents, Husband, Son David Watson, Grandson David Mills, Sister Eva Thayer.

Visitation will be Friday August 5, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home. Funeral Services will be on Saturday August 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Stonington. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery. Rev. William Mitchell will be officiating. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Stonington.
