Joyce Gwendolene Reece, 87, of Witt, passed away August 20, 2011 at 7:50pm in Hillsboro area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL.  She was born September 23, 1923 in London, England, the daughter of John and Dorothy Elmer Broome.  She was a retired factory worker for Echlin Manufacturing of Litchfield, Salvation Army and was a veteran of the English Military. 

She is survived by daughters, Trina (Fred) Britton of Witt, Barbara Bourke of Witt, Carol Childers of Morrisonville; brother Dennis Broome of England; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 1:00pm in Sutton Memorial Home in Nokomis with Rev. Nick Geisert officiating.  Burial will be in Witt Cemetery in Witt, Il.  Visitation will be held Tuesday August 23, 2011 from 11am-1pm at Sutton Funeral Home in Nokomis, Il.
