Mary Jean Bartling, 91, of Stonington, IL died at 3:00 pm, Monday, June 24, 2013 at Gowin Parc in Taylorville.

She was born July 10, 1921 in Springfield, IL the daughter of August G. and Ethel Parcell Kornfeld.  On October 12, 1953 she married Vernon Edward Bartling in Springfield, IL.  He preceded her in death on August 29, 1982.  Mrs. Bartling was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg, was affiliated with the Stonington United Methodist Church and was previously employed by Bell Telephone as an operator and supervisor.

Surviving are her daughter: Jean Bollinger and husband Tim of Stonington; Grandchildren: Laurel Patrick and husband Tim of Madison, WI, Jacqueline Brett Bollinger of Chicago, Meredith Bollinger and John Wyatt Bollinger both of Stonington.  Brothers: Robert James Kornfeld of Springfield, and John Kornfeld of Tucson, AZ.  There are several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers: George Kornfeld, Earl Kornfeld, and Richard Kornfeld.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville with Rev. Ray Radae officiating. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service in the Funeral Home on Wednesday.
