Nellie L. (Calvert) Tonelle, 77, of Taylorville, passed away November 2, 2011 at 5:34pm at her residence in Taylorville.  She was born March 3, 1934 in Johnson Township, Taylorville, the daughter of Edmund & Nellie (Childers) Calvert.  She married John Tonelle on April 2, 1958 in Arkansas.  He preceded on October 11, 1992.  She is a retired seed analyst for the state of Illinois.  She was a member of VFW #4495, Eagles #1425, Moose Lodge #1516, Project 29, American Legion Auxiliary Post #73.

She is survived by sons, J.C. (Annette) Tonelle of Taylorville, and Todd Tonelle of Taylorville.; brothers, Ralph (Velma) Calvert of Taylorvile; grandchildren Kellie Tonelle & Seth Tonelle and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by parents, daughter; Melody Lee Traughber, Brothers; Les, Cecil, George & Clarence "Hap" Calvert.  Sisters Darlene Legg & Mildred Murphy.

Funeral Services will be Saturday November 5, 2011 at 11:00am in Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville with pastor Bob Spurgin officiating.  Visitation will be November 5, 2011 from 10:00-11:00 am at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
