Philip George Schwab, 33, of Stonington, IL formerly of Taylorville, died August 3, 2013 at Bull Shoals Lake, Arkansas from a scuba diving accident.

He was born December 26, 1979 in Springfield, IL the son of Joseph George and Susan Marie Kelmel Schwab. Phillip was employed at Archer Daniels Midland in Decatur, IL and was a member of the Taylorville Moose Lodge #1516.

He is survived by “the love of his life”, his daughter: Shayna Schwab of Warrensburg, IL; Mother: Susan Moomey and husband Kevin of Morrisonville; Father: Joseph Schwab of Assumption; Maternal Grandmother: Frances Frost of Taylorville, Brothers: Vincent Schwab of Taylorville, Adam Schwab of Moweaqua, Cody Moomey and Patrick Moomey both of Morrisonville, and Sister: Heather Moomey with the U.S. Army in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. There are also 2 Nieces: Lily Schwab and Alexzia Schwab both of Taylorville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 10, at McClure Funeral Home with Rev.Scott Busakerofficiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, August 9 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville.
