Linda Rae Leeper, 71, of Mt. Auburn, passed away March 13, 2012 at 10:20am at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur.  She was born June 26, 1940 in Fayette Co. IL., the daughter of Louie and Louella (Wilson) Carter.  She married Joe Leeper in January, 1964 in Mt. Auburn.  She was a retired beautician and homemaker.  She was a member of the Berea Church in Mt. Auburn, Past Matron of Kedron Chapter #536 O.E.S. and a member of the ATA.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; son, Michael (Jeri) Leeper of Mt. Auburn; daughter, Michelle (Robert) Usher of Springfield; sister-in-law, Beverly Gideon of Mt. Auburn; 2 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Elvis Carter and her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at 3:00pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Berea Cemetery in rural Mt. Auburn.  Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 5-8pm at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
