Stuart F. "Stu" Winn, 76, of Stonington, passed away March 25, 2012 at 8:50am at Meadow Manor Nursing Home in Taylorville.  He was born March 18, 1936 in Westin, Il., the son of Glenn and Betty Cagley Winn.  He married Carolyn Young in October, 1975, in Divernon, Il.  Mr. Winn had been employed at Mueller Co. in Decatur for 40 years.  Following that he worked at Garwood Seed Co. for 5 years and G S I for 2 years.  Stuart was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Stonington, and Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, Life Member of the Stonington American Legion, Lifetime member of Moweaqua Lodge #180 A.F.& A.M.; Ansar Shrine and the Ansar Ag Corps.  He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and loved going to games.  He enjoyed NASCAR racing and driving his tractor in parades and supporting the Shriner's Hospital for children.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, David S. Winn of Pooler, GA; brother, Byron W. (Nancy) Winn of Stonington, and his beloved dog, Foxy.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Verna Lawler.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10:00am at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville.  Burial with Military Honors will be in Old Stonington Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Masonic Rites at 6:30pm.
