Roger McCarty 60, of Taylorville passed away July 6, 2011 at his residence. He was born October 10, 1950 in Parma, MO the son of John B. McCarty and Mae Jean McCarty Wettstein. He married Pameila Bough on May 25, 1974 in Assumption. He was an avid fisherman, loving Husband, Father and Brother, loved to work on his 1969 Roadrunner, will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was a member of the Illinois Coalition of Citizens with disabilities and former Stonington City Council Member.

He is survived by Spouse Pameila McCarty of Taylorville, Brothers Ben (Rhonda) McCarty of Buffalo, Terry McCarty of Taylorville, Sisters Alice (Tom) Christenberry of Litchfield, Debbie (Rick) Samson of Taylorville, Donna (Mark) Weaver of Springfield, several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, and daughter Katie McCarty.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Inurnment will be at Glen Haven memorial Gardens at a later date. Pastor Casey McCormick will be the Minister.
