Brenda Kay Rever, 56, of St. Joseph, MO, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at 9:25 a.m. at Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, MO. She was born December 11, 1956 in Taylorville, IL. The Daughter of Charles E. and Wanda (Frost) Newberry. She married John Rever on March 15, 2002 in Taylorville, IL. She was a retired homemaker, avid Cub fan and loved her family and dog Gizmo.

She is survived by her Husband: John; Sons: Dustin (Toni) Allen of Taylorville, IL; Steven Rever of St. Joseph, MO; Matthew (Alyssa) Rever of Fort Hood, TX; Zachary Rever of Fort Campbell, KY; Timothy Rever of St. Joseph, MO; and Luke Rever of St. Joseph, MO.; Daughter: Misty (Mike) Tennant of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Haley, Seth and Emilee Allen; Marissa Tennant; Maddison, MacKenzie and Chaz Allen; Brothers: Paul (Jeanette) Newberry of Shelbyville, IL; Bill (Julitta) Newberry of Taylorville, IL; Tom (Julie) Newberry of St. Joseph, MO; Robert (Mary) Rever of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Judy (Donnie) Durbin of Springfield, IL; Linda (Mike) Hart of Taylorville, IL; Rhonda Beck and companion Everett Johnson of Taylorville, IL; Parents-in-Law: John O. (Rita) Rever of Taylorville, IL; Ruth and Burl Felty of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by herParents and Brother Charles Newberry.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Jim Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
