Nettie Joyce Hedden, 81, of Edinburg, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 1:10 p.m. at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. She was born January 25, 1932 in Topeka, KS. The Daughter of Benjamin F. and Mamie (Cooper) Thomas. She married Isaac Hedden Jr. on January 21, 1950 in Taylorville. She was a retired farmwife and mother. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Taylorville, IL.

She is survived by her Husband: Isaac Jr.; Son: Thomas R. (Kathy) Hedden of Taylorville; Daughter: Melinda “Mindy” June (Pete) Harrington of Illiopolis; Grandchildren: Robyn (Ken) Lloyd, Adam (Stephanie) Harrington, Nathan (Lindsay) Hedden, Benjamin (Jill) Hedden, Abbey (Matt) Corso, Kelly (Mike) Saulsberry, Colleen (Kyle) Gennicks, Nicholas (Danielle) Hedden; Great-Grandchildren: Hope Nash, Ian Lloyd, Gracie, Mylie, and Isaac Corso, Lucy Hedden, Fiona and Eleanor Saulsberry, Olivia Hedden, Brant and Caroline Hedden, Seth and Luke Gennicks, Addilyn and Josie Hedden; Brother: Raymond (Emma) Thomas of Edinburg; Sisters: JoAnn (Paul) Biek of City by the Sea, TX, and Sandra Sue (Bud) Mason of Littleton, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 4:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Taylorville with Pastor Ted Marrinan and Pastor Kyle Gennicks officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 3:00-4:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Taylorville.
