Martha A. Brown, 96, of Taylorville, IL died at 10:26 am Friday, June 14, 2013, at Taylorville Care Center.

She was born March 26, 1917 in Ramsey, IL the daughter of Paine and LuVerna Walker Dooley.  On November 28, 1936 she married Alvah L. Brown in Taylorville.  He preceded her in death on June 28, 1988.  Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Taylorville.

Surviving are her son: Donald Brown and wife Janet of Taylorville, Son-in-law: Lee Roy DeLay of Taylorville; 4 Grandchildren: Tamara Thomas, Bret DeLay and wife Michelle, Jeff Brown and wife April all of Taylorville, and Kent DeLay of Springfield.  There are 5 Great Grandchildren.  Also surviving is a sister Betty Danenberger of Edinburg, IL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Beverly DeLay, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at McClure Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of service in the funeral home on Tuesday.
