Dorothy L. (Brady) Busby, 92 yrs old of Taylorville, passed away Saturday January 11, 2014 at 2:15 p.m. at her residence. She was born on October 20, 1921 the daughter of James & Emily (Stouthammer) Brady in Bureau, IL. She married LeRoy Busby in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Busby was a retired Office manager for Marshall Fields. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and she loved to play bingo and many times held the winning cards. Surviving are her son: Ronald L.(Mary) Busby of Springfield, IL, daughters: Donna J. (James) Correll of Boring, OR and Kathleen (Art) Guerrero of San Diego, CA, grandchildren: Mark Correll, Amy Bradford, Jennifer Hallenius, Melissa Ellis, Jada Banks, Lisa Salzer & Rebecca Dyer. Sixteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Busby was preceded in death by her parents, husband: LeRoy, 3 sisters: Leona McCoughney, Berniece Labrack and Darlene Duncan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the funeral home with Deacon Ray Roth officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or School.
