Harold W. Hartley, 93, of Taylorville, passed away on February 9, 2014 at 6:16 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital Taylorville, IL. He was born on January 21, 1921 in Taylorville, IL; the son Ernest and Mary Ann (Schwab) Hartley. He married Mary Ann Enlow on January 19, 1986 at the Church Of God in Kincaid, IL. Mr. Hartley retired from Borg Warner in Decatur, IL in 1986. He also worked security at different businesses. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kincaid, IL, V.F. W. #4495 in Taylorville, IL and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club #1425 in Taylorville, IL. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hartley of Taylorville, IL, daughters: Diana (Bob) Smith of Niles, OH, Mary Ann Brown of Las Vegas, NV and Barb (Lonnie) Caulk of Springfield, IL; son, Harold F. Hartley of Taylorville, IL; step-daughter, Rebecca Mollet of Taylorville, IL; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his parents, son-in- law, two grandsons and four sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Graveside Services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2014; Father Dan Willenborg will officiate. Military Honors by American Legion Post #73, AMVETS Post #29 and VFW Post # 4495.
