Donna Lou (Thacker) Watkins, 76, of Taylorville, IL formerly of Waggoner, IL, passed away on February 14, 2014 at 11:58 a.m. at her residence in Taylorville. She was born on July 28,, 1937 in Shelby County, IL; the daughter of Clyde Graham and Myrtle Elizabeth (McKee) Thacker. She married John Larkin Watkins in Springfield, TN on September 15, 1956. He preceded her in passing on April 6, 1994. She retired as an Under writer for Horace Mann Insurance. She also worked 11 years for Victorious Ministry Though Christ as US Central Coordinator and was on staff at Loving Arms Crisis Center. She was a member of the Taylorville Christian Church in Taylorville.

She is survived by her sons: Tony Lynn (Kim) Watkins of Springfield, IL and Billy Lee Watkins of Morrisonville, IL; daughters: Linda Lorraine Ash of Wentzville, MO, and Joyce LeJean Bandy companion Mark Clevenger of Raymond, IL; daughter-in-law, Amy Watkins of Rushville, IL; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Robert (Margaret) Thacker of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters: Shirley (Johnny) Young of Taylorville, IL, Lorrie Nation of Taylorville, IL and Sandra (Jim) Gibson of Taylorville, IL; sister-in-law, Cleo Thacker of Taylorville, IL. She was preceded by her parents, husband, son, David and brother, Richard Thacker

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 at Taylorville Christian Church in Taylorville, IL. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Taylorville Christian Church in Taylorville, IL. Rev. Dick Wamsley will officiate the services. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Waggoner, IL.
