Constance E. “Connie” Buckmire, 82, of Taylorville, died at 3:25 pm Monday, November 10, 2014 at her residence.

She was born January 12, 1932 in Taylorville the daughter of Frank and Grace Elizabeth Coy Tomazic.  On November 21, 1950 she married Philip S. Buckmire in Pekin, IL. Having lived on a farm for many years, Connie thouroughly enjoyed long drives through the country with her husband, admiring the farm ground and animals.  She loved time spent with family, and will always have a special place in her heart for her extended family, the "dinner crew".

She is survived by her husband, Philip, Twin Daughters: Sharon Lee Jamison and husband Mike and Karen Lynn DeMichael and husband Mike of Taylorville; Son: Bruce Buckmire and Companion Shelia Wareham of Owaneco; Sisters: Diana Myers and husband Richard of Taylorville, Fran Lovekamp of Kincaid, and Vicki Wilson and husband Mike of Taylorville; Grandchildren: Camron Jamison and wife Tara, Brent DeMichael and wife Stacey, Shaun Vincent, Susie McClure and husband Scott, and Michelle Klein and husband Seth; Great Grandchildren: Mackenzie Jamison, Jeremy Herman, Kaleb Jamison, Peyton DeMichael, Hudson DeMichael, Hayden DeMichael, and Brayden McClure.  She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Grace Tomazic, Son, David Buckmire, and Sister, Darlene Schneider.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Friday at McClure Funeral Home with Rev. Sarah Wanck officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Friday. Inurnment will take place at 10:00 am Saturday, November 15, at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Taylorville.  McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
