Debra Kay Wicks, 66, of Taylorville, IL died at 12:19 am Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at her residence.

She was born February 23, 1948 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Marshall G. and Mary Irene Churchill Grissom. She was raised from an infant by her Grandparents, Pete and Maude Hoeller and her Guardian Mother, Shirley Porter. On November 26, 1983 she married Marvin Wicks and he preceded her in death on April 30, 2014. Mrs. Wicks was a homemaker and a member of Women of the Moose in Taylorville. She enjoyed life and particularly enjoyed motorcycles, boating, going to her lake lot, Poker Runs and going to the Thunderbird Lounge.

Surviving are her son: Rick Rueff and wife Amy of Decatur, IL; Daughter: Lori Kobe of Taylorville; 6 grandchildren: Brittny Rueff, Megan Marie Rueff, Courtney Lee McKinney and husband Phillip, Justin Kobe, Kaylene Girardi, Ace Kobe; 6 Great Grandchildren: Easton Zepin, Kynidee Rueff, Landon Windell, Brantley McKinney, Kaisyn Kobe, and Kirklyn Girardi. Mother: Irene Grissom of Morton, IL; Brother: Dennis Grissom of Pekin, IL and Sisters: Carol Presnell and husband Jack of Pana and Judy Hubble of Kenny, IL; Loving companion and Niece: Sherri Kendle. She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Kathy Pearse, Brother: Marshall Grissom and Sister Patricia Carol. Father, Grandparents, and Guardian Mother;

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 6, 2014 at McClure Funeral Home, Taylorville. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until time of service in the Funeral Home on Thursday.
