Lucille E. Irwin, 94, of Taylorville, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 4:15 p.m. at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville. She was born August 8, 1920 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of Simon and Christina (Miller) Banning. She married Ernest Irwin on February 29, 1940 in St. Charles, MO. and he later preceded her in death on April 29, 1985. She was a retired seamstress and a member of the First Baptist Church in Taylorville.

She is survived by her Son: Ernest (Linda) Irwin of Taylorville; Daughters: Karen Murphy- Saner of Taylorville; Judith (Edward) Craig of Chatham; Six Grandchildren; Twelve Great Grandchildren; Eleven Great-Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, Sister: Wanita Boch, Step-Sisters: Mary Louise Yonker, Annabelle Norville, Step-Brothers: John, Edward and Ray Lamb, Granddaughter: Kimberly Murphy .

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
