Randy C. Willard of Taylorville

Randy C. Willard, 50, of Taylorville passed away at 3:50 pm, Monday, September 22, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. Randy was born on November 11, 1963 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the son of Clyde Lewis and Ardena June McPeek Willard. He was a graduate of Taylorville High School and was previously employed at the Christian County Mental Health Association and Kroger. He was a member of the Taylorville Christian Church. Randy was a proud assistant coach of the Her-A-Canes and Pawnee Jr. High Softball teams. He was the Taylorville Tornadoes #1 fan, he loved Jesus, and loved camping, boating, singing, dancing, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Elvis. He won many gold medals while competing in the Special Olympics. Randy touched the lives of countless people. His enthusiasm and love for life will always be remembered by anyone who knew him.

Randy is survived by his sisters: Debi Sloan, and husband Bill, of Taylorville, with whom he lived for many years, and Dena Laymon of Edinburg; Brothers: Robert Willard, wife Dawn, of Taylorville, and Jimmy Tolly, wife Sheryl, of Broomfield, Colorado; nieces and nephews: Carla Sloan, companion Ann Little, of Taylorville, Jessie Ervin, husband Tim of Taylorville, Eric Adams, wife Heather, of Taylorville, Kelly Aymer, husband Wes of Kincaid, Tanner Laymon, of Edinburg, Katie Hogge of Taylorville, Mikki Willard of Taylorville, and Brian Tolly of Broomfield Colorado; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ricky Willard, and Michael Willard, and nephew: Steve Tolly.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 26 at McClure Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday at McClure Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Taylorville Christian Church.
