Donald “LeRoy” Kohl, 78, of Bolovia, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 10:45 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born January 10, 1936 in Bolovia, IL. The Son of Irvin Kohl and Lynna Ruth (Hartsock) Doyle. He married Bonnie J. Stogdell on December 26, 1955 at the Mt. Auburn Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer, and had also retired from Caterpillar in Decatur where he had worked for 30 years. He was a Member of the NRA. He loved Mushroom and game hunting, fishing, family and friends.

He is survived by his Wife:  Bonnie Kohl of Bolovia, IL; Sons: Brett Allen Kohl of Florida and Eric LeRoy (Heather) Kohl of Edinburg, IL; Daughters: Kim Kohl and companion Robert Crowder; Marjorie Kohl-Carter of Tennessee; Grandchildren: Charles III and Crystal Ray Bowles; Angela and Brett Kohl Jr., Alexandra and Kyle Crowder, Nickolas and Crystalyn Carter, Levi Kohl; Seven Great Grandchildren; Son-in-Law: Charles Bowles Jr. of Virginia; several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Daughter: Janet Lee Bowles and Brother: Harvey Kohl.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Dan Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Grove City Cemetery in Grove City, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Everyone is welcomed to join the family for a luncheon at the Edinburg Community building immediately following the graveside services. The Edinburg Community building is located at 107 W. Masonic St. Edinburg, IL 62531
