Richard Lee Havener, 71, of Taylorville, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 6:25 a.m. at his home in Taylorville, IL. He was born February 13, 1944 in Taylorville, IL, the Son of Homer Eugene and Helen Lucille (Simmons) Havener. He married Connie Lee Herman on February 14, 1989 in Taylorville, IL. He retired from installing and repairing dental equipment. Rich spent many hours working in his garage. His favorite hobby was working on his model T.   

He is survived by his Wife: Connie; Daughters: Heidi Suzanne (Sean) Leonard of Fishers, IN; Stephanie Ann (Eric) Price of Taylorville, IL; Son: Brian Lee (Tree) Havener of Oak Park, IL; Grandchildren: Emma, Owen, Lucy and Jack Leonard; Maya and Violet Havener; Katie and Alex Price; Brothers: Jerry (Patsy) Havener of Seabring, FL; Randy (Gayla) Havener of Springfield, IL; Chris Havener of Riverton, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents and a step-Son: Patrick Hudson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
