Linda Fillenwarth, 76, of Taylorville, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at 8:34 a.m. at her residence in Taylorville. She was born July 8, 1939 in Booneville, IL, the Daughter of Ray Buzzingham and Evelyn Davis. She married Thomas Fillenwarth on December 21, 1978 in Taylorville, IL and he later preceded her in death on March 12, 2012. She worked as a Doughnut maker at Franks IGA, also at many dry cleaners in town, and she tended bar at several local establishments. She was the former Auxiliary President at the Taylorville American Legion Post #73. Linda loved her children and grandchildren more than anything and was the best grandmother. She Loved to Cook and Quilt. She loved gardening especially Roses. She was committed to helping all veterans by volunteering her time and skills. She will be missed by all who loved her. She was a member of the Taylorville American Legion Post #73 Auxiliary and Canyon Lake Texas VFW Post# 8573.
She is survived by her Daughters: Holly Beard of Taylorville, IL and Evelyn (Phil) Watson of Tower Hill, IL; Sons: Norman (Tara) Lybarger of Springfield, IL; Grandchildren: Noah (Krissy) Beard; Bill (Amy) Martin; Dan Martin; Andrea Lybarger; Joe Lybarger; Anthony Hill; Rob (Juley) Watson; Nick Durbin; Karie Durbin; Jeremy Beard; Casey Beard; Twenty Six Great-Grandchildren; Brother: Joe Buzzingham of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Valarie Martin, Grandson: Ryan Hill, Son-in-Law: John Beard; Sister-in-Law: Betty Buzzingham.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. The family invites you to a Celebration of life that will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Taylorville American Legion. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. There will be no visitation.
