Doris M. Mateer, 86, of Taylorville, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at 9:36 p.m. at her residence in Taylorville surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 6, 1929 in Mt. Auburn, IL, the Daughter of William and Myrtia (White) Reeter. She married Leon Mateer on November 27, 1948 in Mt. Auburn, IL and he later preceded her in death on April 6, 2001. She was a retired homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville. She was also a graduate of Mt. Auburn High School.

She is survived by her Daughters: Karen (Bobby) Greene of Taylorville, IL; Alice (Gary) Seaton of Rochester, IL; Sons: Mike (Denise) Mateer of Edinburg, IL; Joe (Nancy) Mateer of Edinburg, IL; Ralph (Sue) Mateer of Blue Mound, IL; Grandchildren: Rhonda (Kevin) Law of Owaneco, IL; Melissa Mateer of Edinburg, IL; Michael Mateer of Edinburg, IL; Marty (April) Mateer of Kincaid, IL; Melanie (Chris) McQuire of Edinburg, IL;  Alex (Sarah) Mateer; Jamie (Jason) Capelle of Fisher, IN; Andrew Mateer of Edinburg, IL; Lee (Keri) Mateer of Taylorville, IL; Megan (Matt) Scales of Taylorville, IL; Brian Seaton of Rochester, IL; Suzanne Seaton of Rochester, IL; Fifteen Great-Grandchildren; Several Step-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brothers: Bill, Earl, Wayne and Bob Reeter; Sisters: DorothyVasconcellos and Mary Lou Toth.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Sheila Kaye Pastoral Care officiating. Burial will be in Grove City Cemetery in Grove City, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
