Donald E. Stauder, 82, of Nokomis, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:40 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. He was born May 24, 1933 in Audubon Township in Montgomery County, IL, the Son of Fred L. and Minnie (Eckoff) Stauder. He married Carole (Cearlock) Stauder on August 18, 1956 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL. He had worked at Hedlund Ski Factory in Nokomis and retired from Firestone after 32 years of service. Don had also served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis, IL, Knights of Columbus and the VFW.
He is survived by his Wife, Carole Stauder of Nokomis, IL; Son: Scott (Nicole) Stauder of Nokomis, IL; Daughters: Marla (Paul, Jr.) Marley of Oconee, IL; Glenda Decker of Nokomis, IL; Sheila (Marc) Gilpin of Marietta, GA; Five Grandchildren: Kayla, Kristen and Mason Stauder; Reagan and Austin Gilpin; Seven step grandchildren; Nine step Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Alvin Stauder, Sister Dorothy Clotfelter, Son-in-law: Richard Decker.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis with Father Dan Willenborg officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis, IL with graveside military honors. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 pm at St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis.
