Marjorie Lyons, 83, of Taylorville, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 2:23 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born May 8, 1951 in Lowder, IL, the Daughter of Merle Wayne and Velma Lucille (Crouse) Summers. She married Raye L. Lyons on October 28, 1951 in Lowder, IL and he later preceded her in death on January 31, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of the Louder United Methodist Church in Lowder, IL. 

She is survived by her Son: Louie (Dawne) Lyons of Taylorville, IL; Step-Son: Guy Harminson of Sullivan, IL; Granddaughter: Season Sherman of Taylorville, IL; Daughter-in-Law: Judy (Robert) Hollenbeck of Tennessee; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Mary Hurley of Springfield, IL; Nellie (Irene) Campbell of Mt. Auburn, IL; Inez (Chuck) Vanhoos of Auburn, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband, Son: Shayne Lyons, Daughter: Cathy Lyons and Brother: Wayne Summers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August  22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Linda Vonck officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Rural Taylorville, IL. Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville.
