Dr. Jerry Breuel DVM, 83 of Taylorville passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. at his home in Taylorville surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 6, 1932 in Pleasanton, KS the Son of Fred and Carrie (Parks) Breuel. He married Wilma Delores “Dee” McKaufsky on April 26, 1958 in Dallas, TX. and she later preceded him in death on June 13, 2002.  He was a retired Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  Jerry graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas with a degree in Veterinary Medicine.

Surviving are his Son: Dr. Kevin (Carol) Breuel of Johnson City, TN; Daughter: Dr. Kelly (Bill) Hartel of Potosi, MO; Grandchildren: Craig, Kari, John and Sagan (Dustin) Pluth, Parker and Alexis “Lexie” Breuel; Companion: Sandra Hafliger of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Brothers: Robert “Bob” Breuel and Donald Breuel. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will be held in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with military graveside honors.
