Dorothy May Allen, 85 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11:05 a.m. at her residence in Taylorville. She was born on October 10, 1930 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of Roy M. and Flora Viola (Forrest) Tyler. She married Eugene Fay Allen on June 4, 1948 in Taylorville and he later preceded her in death. She worked as an inspector at Rothley Sewing factory.

Surviving are her Sons: Harold Eugene (Jo Ann) Allen of Taylorville, IL: Robby Dane Allen of Taylorville, IL; Rock Lynn (Deb) Allen of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Jeannie (Rick) Rhodes of Decatur, IL; Jayandra Rennick of Washington, MO; twenty one Grandchildren Twenty Nine Great-Grandchildren; three Great-Great-Grandchildren; Brothers: James Tyler of Oregon ; half sister: Donna Stafford of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Daughter Marilyn Galloway, Brother: Thomas Forrest

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Pastor Bob Turner officiating. Burial will be held in Old Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, IL.
