Virginia Faye Moomey, 81, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away at 10:15pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Moberly Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on July 26, 1935 in Delaney, Arkansas, the daughter of James S. and Arizona (Stacey) Drain. She married Harold Dwaine Moomey on February 5, 1955 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Mrs. Moomey was a homemaker and a member of the Eagles and VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband: Harold Dwaine Moomey of Moberly; daughters: Terry (Timothy) Murrell of St. Louis, Missouri, and Tamara Moomey of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Elissa Murrell, Alison Murrell, Jacob Banning, and Jared Banning; great grandchildren: Isaiah Murrell-Thomas, Sarah Murrell, Emma Banning, Cameron Banning, and McKenzie Banning; sister: Gretta Couch of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Mrs. Moomey will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Mrs. Penny Moomey officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2pm Sunday. Burial will be in the Owaneco Cemetery in Owaneco, Illinois.
