Tyler Paul Lecocq, 35, of Taylorville passed away at 6:12am on Friday November 4, 2016 near Moweaqua, Illinois. He was born on November 27, 1980, the son of Chris and Feryl (Hodges) Lecocq. Tyler was a 1999 graduate of Taylorville High School and had worked as a machinist for TCCI Manufacturing in Decatur. Tyler loved outdoor activities and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and always had a big smile for everyone he would meet.

He is survived by his parents: Chris and Feryl Lecocq; sister: Tish (Rich) Gerlick; nephews: Hunter, Lucas, and Dylan Gerlick, all of Taylorville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Don and Shirley Lecocq, Howard and Julia Hodges, cousin: Dana Hodges, and uncle: Kent Frailey.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 10 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville with Rev. Rodney Blomquist officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7pm on Wednesday at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville and one hour prior to the service in the church on Thursday. Memorials may be left to the S.B.
