Mel Edward Masters, 79 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 9:26 a.m. at his residence in Taylorville. He was born on June 5, 1937 in Taylorville, IL the Son of Frank and Mary (Dow) Masters. He married Ellen Marie Hart on June 23, 1957 in the Taylorville United Methodist Church. He retired from ADM after 44 years. Mel loved his Lord, Family and Church Family.

Surviving are his Wife: Ellen Marie Masters of Taylorville; Daughters: Susan Beth (Randell) Wyatt of Farmers Branch, TX; Ann Marie (David) Hollo of Litchfield, IL; Grandchildren: Clint Edward Wyatt, Brett Andrew Wyatt and Brittany Marie Wyatt, Tracy Hollo-Mueller, Amy Hollo- Hansen, Benjamin David Hollo; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents and his infant siblings John Masters and Kathleen Masters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating assisted by Pastor Philip Neumann. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
