Ramona Maton Kinney, 89 of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 5:40 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on November 14, 1927 in Pana, IL the Son of Louis and Ada (Pence) Maton. She married Downer “Pete” Kinney on June 2, 1946 in Taylorville, IL and they were later divorced. She was the owner of Maton Florist in Taylorville and she was a member of the Eastern Star, Medina Shrine #98, VFW Auxiliary Post #4495 in Taylorville, Taylorville Eagles Auxiliary, and Taylorville Presbyterian Church.  
Surviving are her Son: Steven (Susan) Kinney of Edmond, OK; Daughters: Marsha (Jim) Streicher of East Peoria, IL; Joy (Tom) Dyson of Edinburg, IL; Grandchildren: Ben (Virginia) Kinney, Katherine (Eric) Goodyear, Julia (Brian) Byrd, Doug (Jess) Streicher, James (Gina) Kinney, David (Erin) Dyson, Mark (Amanda) Dyson, Kristen Dyson; Great-Grandchildren: Orin Goodyear, Roland Goodyear, Maxwell Kinney, Gavin Dyson; Sister: Blossom Winslow of DeKalb, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sister: Marilyn Shetlar, Son: Robert Kinney and Son Mark Kinney in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Rev. Michael Evanchek officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
