Verne LeRoy Fulk

 

Verne LeRoy Fulk, 85, of Assumption passed away at 1:45 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Life’s Journey Senior Living in Taylorville. He was born on March 25, 1931 Decatur, the son of Verne Wheeler and Mildred Mae (Harper) Fulk. He married Shirley Lee Cearlock on February 26, 1950 in Moweaqua and she preceded him in death on January 11, 1998. LeRoy was a lifetime farmer and BoJac seed dealer. He was also a member of the Christian County Pork Producers and the Decatur Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his children: Gary Fulk (Nancy) of Assumption, Sandy Harper (Dave) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Nancy Bennett (Mark) of Bethany, and Alan Fulk (Melissa) of Stonington; grandchildren: Elizabeth Blondis (Craig) of Memphis, Tennessee, Ben Fulk (Wendy) of Seymour, Lindsey Holler (Ryan) of Decatur, Adam Sperry (Shayla) of Lacon, Claire Fulk of St. Louis, Missouri, and Wilson Fulk, Jack Fulk, Karly Fulk, and Chloe Fulk all of Stonington; great grandchildren: Charlotte Blondis and Graham Blondis of Memphis, Taylor Fulk of Seymour, Landen Sperry, and Shilar Sperry both of Lacon; brothers: Robert Fulk (Janet) of Hoschton, Georgia, and Richard Fulk of Arlington Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
