Sharon Marie (Mills) Peters,70 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:58 p.m. at her daughter’s residence in Taylorville. She was born on September 28, 1946 in Taylorville, IL the Daughter of Orville and Erma (Prior) Mills. She married to Robert L. Peters on August 21, 1976 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville, IL and he later preceded her in death. She worked in assisted living and as a playground supervisor in Taylorville. She was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Taylorville.

 

Surviving are her Son: Richard (Beth) Peters of Springfield, IL; Daughters: Theresa (Russell) Krah of Taylorville, IL, Roslyn Tarrant (Rick Harris) of Taylorville, IL Grandchildren: Kyle, Shannon, Rebekah, Damien, Ryan, Dylan, Austin, and Sami; Brother: James (Carolyn) Mills of Edinburg, IL; Sister: Barbara (Michael) Dudley of Indiana; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was greeted at heavens gates by her husband Robert and father Orville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service be held at 10am on Thursday March 9, 2017 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Taylorville with Pastor Bob Turner officiating. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL.
