Donald Orville Wareham

Donald Orville Wareham, 90 of Taylorville passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 8:24 a.m. at his residence in Taylorville. He was born on December 17, 1926 in King Township in Christian County, IL the Son of Orville and Flossie (Payne) Wareham. He married Bonnie J. Vedder on January 25, 1948 in the Nokomis United Methodist Church in Nokomis, IL. Don was the owner and operator of Wareham’s Dairy and Wareham’s Security in Taylorville. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict aboard the USS Doneff and USS Antietam. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #73, VFW Post #4495 and NRA. He served several terms as a Taylorville City Alderman.

Surviving are his Wife: Bonnie of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Jeanine (Steve) Biondolino of Taylorville, IL; Teri (Paul) Kuntz of Edinburg, IL; Wendy (Jim) Keller of Nokomis, IL; Cindy (Rob) Kinney of Taylorville, IL; Son: Donnie Wareham of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Christopher Biondolino, Sarah (Chris) Baker, Elizabeth (Neil) Hohenstein, Joshua Kuntz, Eric Kuntz, Melissa (Blake) Engelman, Ashlee (Jared) Peno, Michael (Samantha) Keller, Susan (Corey) Black, Maggie Wareham, Julia Wareham, Amanda Kinney and companion Jason Christopher, Chase (Nicole) Kinney, Tabitha Miloncus; Great-Grandchildren: Lincoln, Matthew, Maria, Keaton, Ella, Beckett, Garrett, Griffin, Gwynn, Aubrey, Jackson, Austin, Olivia, Madeline, Charlie, Myla, Adyline and Estella; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers: Darrell and Fred Wareham; Sisters: Erma Kevie and Marcella Pittenger.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, IL with military graveside honors.
