Estle Ramsey

 

Mr. Estle “Bud” Ramsey, 89, of Kincaid, IL passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:55 P.M.
 
He was born in New Burnside, IL., October 19, 1927 the son of Leslie “Les” and Rose (Fustin) Ramsey.  
 
Mr. Ramsey was a member of Midland United Methodist Church, Kincaid.  “Cue-Ball”, as he was affectionately known to his co-workers, and later to everyone, worked 45 years in area coal mines retiring from Peabody Mine #10 in 1989.  Bud also served in the U.S. Navy during WW II.  He was a current member of the Kincaid American Legion and the United Mine Workers of America and was a former member of the Taylorville V.F.W.
 
Surviving is a grandson Rev. Chad (Jennifer) Foster of Morrisonville, IL., great-grandchildren Seth, Gabby and Sophie Foster of Morrisonville, IL., a niece Susan Lynn Sammons of Springfield, IL., a son-in-law Tom Foster of Tovey, IL., a brother-in-law George Sammons of Springfield, IL along with a great many friends.  
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Vickie, grandson Thomas Scott, 2 sisters Ida Mosley and Lorraine Sammons and a brother Hubert “Red” Ramsey.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, IL.  Rev. Chad Foster will officiate.  Visitation for Mr. Ramsey will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 21, at Masterson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Taylorville, IL.  Memorials in memory of Mr. Bud Ramsey are suggested to: Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, St. Louis.
