Maryann Coonrod, 81 of Morrisonville passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 3:10 p.m. at her residence in Morrisonville. She was born on January 27, 1936 in Jerseyville, IL the Daughter of Harry R. and Lorraina (Trent) Craig. She married Hubert L. “Shorty” Coonrod on March 2, 1953 in Carrolton, IL and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2016. She worked as a nurse at St. Vincent’s Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL and she later retired as a homemaker.

Surviving are her Sons: Tim Coonrod of Morrisonville, IL; Todd Coonrod of Springfield, IL; Daughters: Bethann Coonrod of Taylorville, IL; Debra (Donnie) Mays Morrisonville, IL; Teri (Lee) Greer of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Toni (Dustin) Allen of Taylorville, IL; Brian Greer of Taylorville, IL; Josh Greer of Taylorville, IL; Kyle Greer of Taylorville, IL; Ashley (Scott) Finfrock of Sullivan, IL; Jacob Coonrod of Morrisonville, IL; Jennifer (Jason) Shackleton of Iowa City, IA; Morgan McGlauchlen and Wyatt Jones of Alton, IL; April Marsaglia of Taylorville, IL; Great-Grandchildren: Maddison, MacKenzie and Chaz Allen, Broady and Brentlee Greer; Zane and Alexis Finfrock, Sophia Greer, Kaden and Kierstin Kirkpatrick; Emma and Will Shackleton, Dakota Coonrod; Tori and Bryce Marsaglia of Taylorville, IL; Sisters: Ruth Flannery of St. Louis, MO; Alice Woodson of Carlinville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and two grandsons Toby and Danny Mays, Sister: Violet Sullivan, Brother: Roger Craig.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. The funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Following the services, it was Maryann’s wishes to be cremated and there will be an inurnment at a later date.
