Alan Stender, 67 of Sharpsburg passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 11:06 p.m. at his residence in Sharpsburg. He was born on January 15, 1950 in Springfield, IL the Son of Jack and Johanna (Knaus) Stender. He married Diane Boyd on June 4, 1971 in Cadillac, MI. He was retired from Disability Services for the State of Illinois and he was a member of Grace Memorial Church in Edinburg, IL.

 

Surviving are his Wife: Diane of Sharpsburg, IL ; Daughters: Jodie (Tom) Owen of Taylorville, IL; Alicha (Curt) Garrett of Morrisonville, IL; Abbie (Rich) Lentz of Spokane, WA; Grandchildren: Madison, Macie, Mercedes and Marissa Owen; Chloe and Perry Lentz; Brothers: Bill (Janet) Stender of Edinburg, IL; Roy (Joy) Stender of Piggott, AR; Tom (Karen) Stender of Greenway, AR; Joe (Anna) Stender of Jonesboro, AR; Jay Stender of Springfield, IL; Sister: Barb Stender of Springfield, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents.  

Private family services will be held at a later date.
