Carroll Leroy Law, 78 of Owaneco passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:52 a.m. at his residence in Owaneco. He was born on January 10, 1939 in Lakewood, IL the Son of Herbert and Edith (Askins) Law. He married Connie Hodge on June 27, 1965 in Taylorville and she preceded him in death on December 23, 1980; he then married Lorretta Teter-Ostermeier on March 5, 1983 in Owaneco, IL. He retired as a paper maker at Georgia Pacific after 27 years after he served in the United States Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Carroll belonged to the Liars Coffee Club of Owaneco and he was an avid Cardinal and Illini Fan. 

 

Surviving are his Wife: Lorretta Law of Owaneco, IL; Daughters: Lisa Merrifield of Rosemond, IL; Son: David (Lori) Law of Taylorville, IL Step-Children: Teresa Wright of Taylorville, IL; Terry (Michelle) Ostermeier of Taylorville, IL, Travis (Angie) Ostermeier of Taylorville, IL; Grandchildren: Brittany Conard, Ethan Law, Erik Merrifield, Lauren Merrifield, Renate Wright, Sid Wright, Alex Ostermeier, Tatum Ostermeier, Justin Ostermeier and Karlee Meek; Great Grandchildren: Madilyn, Liam, Rylan, Abe, Beau, Owen, Rory, Olivia, Rhett and Mason; Brother: Duane Law of Pana, IL; Steven (Nancy) Law of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, First Wife Connie, Sister Marilyn Warren, Special Brother and Sister-in-Law Jeanne and Rick Jackson. 

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville with Chaplain Jack Moss officiating. Burial will be held in Owaneco Cemetery in Owaneco, with military honors.
