Terrence “Terry” Estel Sexton, 71, of Taylorville passed away at 7:00a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 in his home.  He was born on July 30, 1946 in Taylorville, the son of Estel and Helen (Jones) Sexton.  He married Janice Kay Dobyns on June 2, 1967 in Taylorville.  Terry retired from the Taylorville Sanitary District and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  For 28 years he served as a volunteer with the Taylorville Fire Department.  Terry enjoyed being outdoors, especially mushroom hunting and camping.  He enjoyed trips to Walmart and playing bingo with his best buddy Tom McKinney.  He will be missed by everyone who loved and knew him and his dog Bella.  

Terry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Kay Sexton of Taylorville; daughters: Renee Masterson and Barbara Kay Sexton of Taylorville; grandchildren: Jacob Masterson, Zachary Geller, Paige Taylor, and Stone Taylor; brother: Tim (Judy) Sexton of Clinton; sisters: MaryAnn Bauers of Indiana and Toni (Joe) Hays of Benton; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: David Bennett, Mike Bennett, and Teddy Sexton; and grandsons: Michael Masterson Jr. and Wade Taylor.
