Aaron Rathgeber, 31 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2:02 p.m. at his residence in Taylorville. He was born on April 2, 1987 in Taylorville, IL the son of Greg and Carol (Reber) Rathgeber. He married Jeanie Welge on June 6, 2016 in Taylorville IL. Aaron worked as a machine operator at GSI in Assumption and he loved to play guitar, music and going on hikes. He also loved building forts in the house with his kids and to make them laugh.

Surviving are his Wife: Jeanie Rathgeber of Taylorville, IL; Son: Paul Rathgeber of Taylorville, IL; Daughters: Jaina and Violet Rathgeber of Taylorville, IL; Parents: Greg and Jean Rathgeber of Springfield, IL Carol Rathgeber of Taylorville, IL; Grandmother: Patricia Reber of Taylorville, IL; Brother: Damon Rathgeber of Taylorville, IL; Several Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Don and Betty Rathgeber, Richard and Patricia Reber, Great-Grandparents: Carl and Cleona Rathgeber, Freda Oseland.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, IL. Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation starting at 7:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home.

Following the funeral service Aaron will be cremated and there will be a private family inurnment at a later date in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Taylorville.
